SVC are excited to develop our alumni network. Did you previously volunteer with SVC? Or perhaps you volunteered with us under one of our former names, which were CUSS (Cardiff University Social Services) or SCA (Student Community Action)?
“Give a little, gain a lot” – there’s lots of ways to get involved with SVC.
Keep in Touch
Did you previously volunteer with us? Perhaps you led a project, sat on one of our Exec Boards as an SVC Trustee, or were a previous partner helping us to deliver a particular project?
We like to keep in touch with anyone involved with our charity over the years, so please do contact our alumni team or someone in the office if you’re happy for us to get in touch to find out more about your experience with SVC.
One of the many ways in which you can support us is through volunteering! Have a look at our 'Apply to Volunteer' page if you are interested in signing up to a project, and if you can only commit to one-off events then be sure to sign up to our One-Off Volunteering mailing list so that you hear about upcoming opportunities!
SVC now offers volunteering opportunities for everyone, not just students, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved, either in one-off events, or more long-term commitments.
If you wanted to help raise money for SVC then please do get in touch with the SVC office. Our amazing volunteers have undertaken several different types of fundraisers for us, a few ideas are – a sponsored sports event, a pub quiz night, a cake sale, a charity party to name a few - we can even set up a sponsorship page on our local giving webpage, so let us know if we can help.
Also keep a look out for SVC spaces at Cardiff sports events such as the Cardiff Half Marathon.
Another way you can help is by donating to SVC. As a charity SVC depends on the generosity of others to run all of our amazing projects, you can make one-off donations or set up a regular donation on our local giving page.
