Hi, I’m Lucy. I joined the board, firstly as an advisor and then as an Associate Trustee, in August 2020. I work for the Careers department at University of South Wales, helping students to gain experience whilst they are studying. The variety of opportunities available via SVC is huge and as I worked more and more with their lovely team, I was asked to join the board. I haven’t looked back! To play just a small part in the projects and values of SVC is great. When I hear back from students who have volunteered with SVC, their experiences really show that they have given a little, to gain a lot. As well as doing something for their community, they are also learning valuable skills to take forward into their graduate careers.
