SVC Alumni: Where are they now?

Lucy Curtis studied her Bachelors in Applied Psychology from 2007 to

2011 at Cardiff University. She volunteered with SVC on many projects including;

- Education Volunteer

- Project Coordinator for Mental Health Projects, home and away and other projects

Since graduating from University and SVC, Lucy Curtis has been working in the third sector on a nature and conservation project with adults with Learning disabilities as a Project Manager at SVC’s sister charity Innovate Trust.

From Lucy;

“I joined SVC straight after graduating from Cardiff University and was given responsibility for overseeing the mental health volunteer projects, as well as Home & Away. I thoroughly enjoyed working within a team that was so passionate about the charity. It was also really rewarding to see the student volunteers develop their skills and confidence, whilst effecting a meaningful change for the community. I was able to gain skills in volunteer management, supporting vulnerable children and adults, and working in partnership with other organisations, which allowed me to progress to further opportunities within the charity sector. I would wholeheartedly encourage everyone to get involved with SVC.”

Thank you for getting in touch Lucy! We loved hearing from you.
