What is like being an SVC Trustee?

Here is a brief insight into Jess-Meg's role, SVC's Communication and Marketing Officer this year!

So...what is it like?

Honestly? Being on the SVC board of trustees is one of the best things I have done whilst I've been in Cardiff! SVC is such a great charity, being a board member allows you to get involved in many of the decisions made within the charity, as well as getting further emersed in many of the SVC events AND additionally is a way of meeting a whole new group of people . My particular role mainly involves 'looking after' and updating the Facebook and Twitter pages (along with the staff) and the blog! Also the newsletter, and any other pages such as the Instagram and Vine…when we remember to stop for a moment and record the fun! This is the perfect position for someone who is passionate about the charity and committed, is up-to-date with social media and wants help recruit and raise awareness for SVC. You also have to be willing to chip in and help out, working as part of team with your other (fabulous) board members to aid the successful running of SVC.

If you have any questions or would like to apply for this position, please get in touch with the SVC Manger- Adrienne Earls: a.earls@svcardiff.org
