Hi, I’m Shannon, and I’m the new Events & Fundraising Trustee for SVC! I’m from Belfast, Ireland and I study Psychology BSc at Cardiff University. At the minute I am on my placement year in Belfast, and join Trustee meetings remotely. I am working in the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust as a Psychology Support Officer, and I am loving my role so far! I have volunteered with SVC for two years, as both a general and lead volunteer for the NHS project. I have felt extremely supported and welcomed by the SVC team and felt that all projects that I contributed to did make a difference. This year I’m looking forward to finding out more about the “behind the scenes” of running a charitable organisation. Most of all, I hope to help support SVC from afar and continue to support the wider community of Cardiff.
