Cycling Without Age - Bring Joy to the Outdoors!

Our Mission: Our project helps people with limited mobility experience the joy of cycling and the beauty of the outdoors.

Who We Help:

  • People who miss being outdoors and now have limited mobility: Reconnect with nature and the community.
  • People with dementia: Enjoy stimulating outdoor experiences.
  • Young people with mobility limitations: Feel the freedom of cycling.
  • Anyone who can't cycle on their own: Share special moments with friends and family.

What We Do: 

We offer rides on our specially designed Trishaw:

  • Comfortable & Accessible: Seats two passengers, has a low step, and a protective hood.
  • Power-Assisted: Makes cycling easy for volunteers.

How You Can Help:

  • Cyclist: Cycle the trishaw, providing safe and enjoyable rides.
  • Co-Cyclist: Cycle alongside the trishaw, offering companionship and assistance.
  • Mechanics: Help maintain and repair our trishaw, ensuring its smooth operation.
  • Transport Crew: Assist in transporting the trishaw between locations.
  • Creative Minds: Develop our branding, website, and promotional materials.
  • Decorators: Add a personal touch to our trishaw, making it inviting and unique.
  • Tech Gurus: Create and maintain a user-friendly website.
  • Photographers/Videographers: Capture the joy of our rides and share our story.
  • Interviewers: Gather stories from participants and volunteers, showcasing the impact of our project.

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible Schedule: We're happy to work around your availability.
  • Weekday Sessions: Primarily during the week, based on demand (day-time 10-12 or 1-3pm)

Location:

  • Barry Promenade, easily accessible by train.
  • Roth Mill Gardens, Waterloo Gardens, Roath flower Gardens (awaiting permission for Roath Park)
