Laugh Out Loud Fridays - Lead Volunteer

LOL Fridays is a fantastic social club for young adults with Down’s Syndrome, supported via funding from Magic Little Grants at Local Giving.

The club takes place every other Friday evening where volunteers assist the young people to engage in various different activities, either in a rented hall, out and about on a trip, or over Zoom. 

Hall-based activities include board games, arts and crafts, karaoke, ball games and playing on the playstation, whilst trips could include things such as bowling, the cinema, going for food, a trip to the park, etc. Please note that this year we will be alternating between in-person and digital sessions to cater to the needs of all of our beneficiaries. 

Lead volunteers will work in a pair to plan and run the fortnightly sessions. 

Volunteers will gain skills such as leadership, teamwork, organisation, communication, and must be committed, patient and, above all, be able to have fun!
