RCT OUT & ABOUT - Lead Volunteer (Monthly)

Once a month, SVC runs an Out & About trip in the RCT area. This is a fun and well attended project, and we need two lead volunteers to help us run it. 

We normally alternate activities between Bingo, Bowling and Cinema in the Nantagrw area usually on a Thursday evening around 6:00pm - late (depending on the activity). 

SVC will cover your expenses to partake in the activity, along with support throughout the evening from the project supervisior if needed. 

Responsabilities of Lead Volunteer:

Meeting beneficiaries at the entrance of the venue

Supporting them to pay and to get inside safely

Chatting and enjoying the activity together

Making sure everyone gets home safely i.e via support staff or calling taxis on their behalf.

-Good Communication Skills

-Patience and Understanding 

Interview, Training and Full DBS to be given before project begins.

SVC has two cars in the Cardiff office which can be used by volunteers who are drivers.
