SVC is proud to be an Investing in Volunteers (IiV) achiever, having been awarded the quality standard in 2024.

It shows that we value our volunteers and demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement.

Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for all organisations involving volunteers. Investing in Volunteers aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all and demonstrates that organisations, like SVC, value the enormous contributions made by their volunteers. Investing in Volunteers is delivered by the national volunteering infrastructure bodies in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Together, they enable organisations across the UK to achieve the award.

SVC was assessed against six quality areas and proved to excel in all aspects of working with its volunteers.

Our dedicated Project Coordinators shared insights into the invaluable role volunteers play in our mission to reduce vulnerability and enhance safety and sociability within our community. Through meticulous data collection and feedback mechanisms, we are able to measure the tangible impact of our efforts, ensuring that every volunteer interaction leaves a positive mark.

Volunteers themselves echoed the sentiment, highlighting the rewarding nature of their experiences and comprehensive support they receive, including essential training and resources. Their commitment to making a difference shines through, as they continuously demonstrate resilience and compassion in their roles.
